Jesse R. Brown was bom in 1S41 and died in 1893. He married Rachel M. Wilson on March 29,
1873 in Vermilion County, Illinois. She was born March 18, 1853, in Illinois and died November 3,
They lived near Kickapoo Park, possibly near Glenburn because of their children were born
there. Her parents were James A. Wilson and Jemima Moore. They are buried in Allhands
Cemetery in Kickapoo Park.
They had nine children. Rosa Belle Brown was born June 4, 1873, in Illinois and died June 18,
1928, in Covington, Indiana. She married John David Hughes (grandfather of Janice Youhas).
They lived in Glenburn where they had six of their eight children.
Elizabeth (Lizie) Brown was born in 1875 and married Richard Newlin and had a daughter,
Peninah. They moved to Boise, Idaho, when their daughter was young and were never heard from
John L. Brown was bom in 1877 and married Becky Wren. They had a son Lowell.
James Brown was bom October 5, 1878, in Illinois, and died December 14, 1947. He married
Katherine Williams and they had six children.
William Brown had asthma and never married.
Lula Hazel Brown married Earnest T. Rhodes and they had two children. Lula died in 1918
during the flu epidemic the same year that her son, Herman was born. The other child died young.
Myrtle Brown was bom October 1, 1888, and died February 15, 1950. She married Robert Euel
White April 13, 1915. They had nine children.
Everett Virgil Brown was bom November 24, 1891 in Glenburn. He died April 10, 1964. He
married Lillie Mae Smith and they had no children. He had two children by a previous marriage.
Richard Jesse Brown died young and never married.
