Lucille V. Woodin was born October 21, 1905, to Walter and Grace Gibson Woodin. She attended Oakwood
High School and was a member of the Oakwood Christian Church and the Oakwood Chapter of the Order of the
Eastern Star. On November 10, 1951, she married Carl Collins of Champaign. After schooling she worked at Cramer &
Norton Department Store, and as a bookkeeper in the Dodge Garage. In March of 1924 Lucille began work as a
bookkeeper at the State Bank of Oakwood, and later as cashier. She also became associated with the Oakwood
Building and Loan and upon her retirement in 1961 she remained as a director in both the bank and the building
and loan. She was with the bank for 43 years. Lucille Collins died August 27, 1969.
