In November of 2000 the town of Oakwood came together to search for Ryan Katcher. Ryan was an Oakwood Resident and college student from the University of Illinois that disappeared without a trace after being brought home by friends one November weekend. In 2006 the search concluded when Ryan’s truck was found with his remains in the bottom of a pond at Kickapoo.
